Define Deterioration Curve Criteria

In the Deterioration Criteria table, you designate which groups of Pavement Types and Pavement Classes are assigned to particular deterioration curves.

Pavement record sets are defined according to Pavement Class and Pavement Type, meaning that the deterioration characteristics of each type of pavement segment can be specifically tailored to existing conditions.

For each combination of Pavement Class and Pavement Type, select a deterioration curve from the drop-down menu available in the Deterioration Curve column. This drop-down list contains all of the deterioration curves that have been previously defined.

New pavement record sets can be created, and existing sets removed.

As the records are updated in the Deterioration Criteria table, the curves are automatically applied to the corresponding segment features in the SAM IS platform.
