Define Pavement Deterioration

The Deterioration tool allows you to define curves that represent pavement deterioration over time. The Scenario Manager component of the SAM IS system uses this curve data to simulate future roadway deterioration when analyzing multi-year budget scenarios.

Open the Define Curves window by clicking on the Deterioration tool on the Analyze capability panel.

Use Add Curve, Delete Curve, and Save Curve to manage deterioration curves within the SAM IS platform.

After adjusting any coefficients, select Redraw to see the results. Clicking the Save icon will record the changes to the selected curve.
